ENGAGE Consulting is a general partnership founded in January 2010 by Jennifer M. Shepherd, PhD and Jennifer G. Defreyne, P.Eng.

ENGAGE Consulting offers specialized services based on the expertise and qualifications of its consultants. We believe in helping our clients “make connections” and strive to offer unique and effective tools to meet the changing demands of culture and technology.

BIOGRAPHY

Since 2002, Jennifer M. Shepherd, PhD, has taught at the University and College level in adjunct faculty positions (TWU, Langley; CBC, Abbotsford; MCS, Toronto) within the field of Humanities.  Concurrently, she worked as the Assistant GM for the Carina Sports Group Inc. (2006-2010) overseeing the HR for 50+ employees and the Operations of 8 Golf Retail stores.

Her broad educational and HR training combined with her specialized focus within the study of Humanities which include history and interpretive methods, have led her to launch the unique seminars and speaking topics of ENGAGE Consulting.  Her personal experiences in both academic and business circles enable her to successfully help people learn that when they uncover their values (motivators) and connect those values to their decision making process (interpretation), they are then able to engage others in thoughtful, sophisticated discussions about many essential work issues: career development, ethical positions, incentives, and conflict resolution.

Jennifer is an avid golfer and hockey player.  Her favorite golf course is Troon North in Scottsdale, AZ.  Having grown up in Ontario, she still bleeds the blue and white (Maple Leafs) but after living in Vancouver for the past 12 years, she has become a faithful Canucks fan.
